Elisabeth Altamirano-Smith is a community columnist, freelance writer and an Alabama Press Association Media Awards recipient. Bless Your Heart: A Devotional for Southerners is based from her own childhood experiences growing up on a farm in rural Alabama and living immersed in Southern culture. She is an Alabamian, wife and mother who enjoys Southern pastimes such as canning preserves, painting, gee-hawing with others and sharing life’s secrets with a good hunting dog while sitting on the porch. As a person of faith, she enjoys hearing other’s personal testimonies and witnessing their spiritual gifts being put into action.
